Blog Post 0: Who Am I?

Making my way through college while navigating the maze of balancing work, life, travel, and my future can be quite a task. I am a senior planning on graduating in May and picking up my life and moving the Texas by the end of the year. I have a knack for technology, social media, pop culture, music, makeup, and natural hair.

Technology has consumed my life. I use it in personal, professional, and educational formats. I work for Apple as a Technical Advisor and troubleshoot pretty much all Apple devices and software. I use media and technology in some of my courses as a Media Communications major. I have used it to create social media campaigns, create websites, market student groups and more. I have dabbled in graphic design and Public Relations during my time as a member of SGA and several Agencies on campus. Through one of my IT courses I even had the opportunity to help middle school students in the Tallahassee area learn how to program music. I work with Macs and PCs alike to find the best methods for my clients and personal use.

I hope to learn more from this course about technology applications. I want to continue to develop my writing and digital media skills. I am always striving to find applicable knowledge and experiences to bring to my professional skills. A part of what I do is help groups and businesses find the best way to market themselves. Teaching them how to use technology in educational and professional formats is ingrained into my work. I am excited to learn more about educational technology and where I can apply it in the future.
