Data collection, whether it be through qualtrics or other methods is beneficial to almost any educator. In a cooking class environment I could see using it for asking my students for allergies, voting on what to cook in class, and more. Another cool application would be using it to rate other student meals as a peer-to-peer feedback. Excel makes it easy to calculate and organize data. I enjoyed using it to find the averages and easily eyeball information. Some of my favorite topics included when we got to share our thoughts on personal learning networks. It was cool to see everyone enjoying twitter. As an app that I originally only used for fun now has amazing networking abilities in the field of education. It’s awesome to see people taking part in sharing educational experiences and opportunities and connecting to other platforms and people.
