Blog Journal 5

Diigo is a really cool website that allows people to collaborate and share bookmarks. My first reaction wasn't the best of Diigo. I thought the website seemed a little dated. Though the website has some cool educational applications it feels like bookmarking tends to be more of a personal thing. After using more later on, it was cool to see how you can edit, highlight, and add comments to webpages and articles.

I have blogged before for different classes with mostly class based content. I recently started a travel blog with my best friend. It is an instagram blog and we will be adding video blogs (vlogs) into the mix as well as a new website. I am not unfamiliar with the blogging experience and it continues to develop through classes like this. I do prefer to use different websites like Wix. I haven't learned anything extremely new through this semester about blogging except for the opportunity to learn how to blog with Blogger.

Web 2.0 are platforms where users can take, create, and share content. I think it has even become more of a tool to use in the classrooms. Instagram is a great tool that I feel like students, teachers, and parents to connect, and share photos and educational content. There are pages designed for educational topics with great content. Parents can see what's going on in the classroom, teachers can share pages and create content for their students and more,

  1. I agree with you that Instagram is a good resource to connect teachers to students and parents. Many of my high school teachers have Instagram and Twitter, but the only rule is the teachers are not allowed to follow their students because it is inappropriate.

    1. Absolutely! I definitely understand. From an educational standpoint for following hashtags, having a class page to share projects, pictures, and information and more!
